The first (and only) three-time champion of Diageo World Class Malaysia, Shawn Chong of Bar Mizukami has cemented his status as one of Malaysia’s most decorated figures in bartending, while paving the way for many others to follow his footsteps in the art of bartending. Pioneering the Malaysian speakeasy and bartending scene when he co-founded Omakase+Appreciate with Karl Too in 2013 — which went on to be ranked at No. 10 on the inaugural Asia’s 50 Best Bars list in 2016, Shawn has been a strong advocate of classic cocktails and a mentor to many Malaysian bartenders, while offering consultancy services to bars and restaurants that needed beverage menu curation and on-site training. 

Join us for this enlightening masterclass by Shawn Chong on the intricacies of Japanese bartending techniques as well as efficient round building in the bar — and learn how the right techniques can help improve revenue at the bar.

Entry to this masterclass session is free but ticketed and subject to seating availability.
